This is part 2 of an on-going storyline! Make sure you've read yesterday's comic and be sure to come back tomorrow for part 3!
To be continued...! This is episode 1 of 7! We will continue the story tomorrow, so make sure you check back then!
Panel 2 refers to the classic Smith vs Smith strip Plan Z, originally published in 2009! You can read it below, but the language is NSFW so you've been warned!
This week's comic is a sequel to last week's epic "Baby Shower" comic. It originally appeared in Camosun College's Nexus Newspaper.
It does feel like everyone we know is either pregnant or has babies now. Except for us. We have cats.
Emma and I recently left Victoria to move in with my folks for the summer in Courtenay, BC. Stay tuned next week for more exciting adventures from the baby shower!
Because we used to live in Kuwait, we had to get Thor regular haircuts. I was pretty shocked the first time Emma brought him home with a "lion cut" (you can read all about it in my upcoming graphic novel, You're Stuck With Me Now! Join my newsletter below for more info). Since we moved to Canada, it's been too darn cold to need a hair cut. Thankfully, it looks like summer is finally here!
What do you guys think of the colour and the odd layout of this week's comic? Any feedback? Is it something I should try again in the future? Let me know!
This comic originally appeared in the Camosun College Nexus newspaper.
This comic originally appeared in the UVic Martlet paper. If you're in Victoria, BC, grab a copy today!
Today's comic is dedicated to the seemingly endless number of couples we know who recently had babies or are expecting! Congrats, everyone we know!
Emma and I are leaving Victoria. We moved to the island in the summer of 2016 so I could focus on comics and Emma could attend art school. The time has flown by!
I won't reveal where we are moving to yet, but I CAN tell you where to find us this weekend!
Emma will be joining me for two comic cons this week: On Saturday May 6th (Free Comic Book Day!) you can find us at the Curious Comicon in Nanaimo, BC. Sunday, May 7th, we will be back in Victoria at Cherry Bomb Toys' Ultimate Hobby & Toy Fair. Come by and say hi, and get some comics!
In the summer of 2016, Emma and I moved to Victoria, BC so I could focus on comics and she could attend art school. It's mind-blowing to think that our time in Victoria is coming to a close. This weekend we will be moving up Vancouver Island to Courtenay, to spend the summer with my parents. And as for next school year? Stay tuned...
This comic originally appeared in UVic's Martlet. If you're in Victoria over the summer, keep an eye out for more Smith vs Smith comics every month in the Martlet!
Over the past two weekends I attended two comic conventions, the Camosun Comics Art Festival and the Courtenay In-CON Family Gaming Convention. I had a great time at both, selling my comics and picking up books from some amazing Canadian creators. Check out my haul:
You can see me next at the Curious ComicCon in Nanaimo on May 6th and then the Ultimate Hobby & Toy Fair in Victoria on May 7th. Come by and say hi!
This comic originally appeared in the Camosun College Nexus student paper.
If you're in the Comox Valley, be sure to come say hi at the Courtenay In-CON. I'll be selling comics and leading an interactive panel on Being a Smarter Comics Reader and Creator.
Today's comic originally appeared in Big Time Funnies out of Phoenix. This is the second comic of mine to appear in Big Time Funnies. If you're in Phoenix, keep an eye out for this free all-comics paper featuring some hilarious comics like #parenting!
This is the 101st comic I've published on SmithVsSmith.com! I've been slowly updating my website so if you haven't read all 101, check out my newly redesigned archive page or start at the beginning and tell me how crappy my art used to be!
This comic is the third in the "Matt's Birthday" saga. Go back to the beginning and read them all! I had an amazing birthday (they've all been amazing since I've been with Emma, honestly). Emma spoiled me (she got me the Lego Millennium Falcon)!
On my actual birthday I thought I'd share some of my thoughts on life. This comic is a direct sequel to yesterday's comic and I will be adding one more episode tomorrow.
After wrapping up the multi-part epic "Emma's Birthday" we are now starting a three-part epic about MY birthday! If you know someone with an upcoming birthday, why not get them something from the Smith vs Smith store?
Emma makes her Canadian stage debut April 20th with Reefer Madness. Get your tickets now! Emma and I actually met through community theatre (she was the choreographer and I played "Sonny" in Grease in Kuwait). I'm very excited to see her perform for the first time over a year!
This comic originally appeared in the University of Victoria's Martlet.
Emma and I had an amazing few days at Villa Eyrie just outside of Victoria. Today's comic concludes a multi-part epic that started with Emma's Birthday 1. Go back and experience the entire saga now! I had to wrap this up because it's almost my birthday! If you know someone with an upcoming birthday, why not get them something from my online store?
